Would it still run my engine if I ran out of fuel?

You wish! I wish so too. But it is not practical. Let me stress again: Brown's gas (HHO or Hydroxy, Hydrogen-Oxygen) is supplemental to gasoline. Not independently. You do not switch to water, the water and its Hydrogen-Oxygen products are used as a boost or "catalyst" for better combustion of gasoline. Not by itself.
